The application for student housing from August 2024 opened today, 7th May, and applicants are welcome to apply for available housing up until 22 May.

At Midnight this morning, Swedish time (CEST), the Housing queue for student applications Autumn 2024 was opened. Shortly after, the first batch of available housing was published.

You can now log on to your account and join the queue, and then apply for any available housing options that interest you.

How to apply

The current batch of available housing is open for applications up to and including 22 May. What determines your position in the queue is the date you joined the queue and your student priority type, not the date you applied for the available accommodation batch. You are welcome to apply for the batch, and update your preferences and ranked list of accommodation at any date up until 22 May.

About the Housing Queue

Application Tutorial

Tuition-fee paying programme students

All students liable to pay tuition fees, and admitted to full-time studies for the Autumn, are eligible to apply for housing, and to receive a housing guarantee. Please note that your payment status (TuitionPaid) may not be properly updated yet. This can sometimes be delayed, but will not affect your application. You can still join the queue and apply for available housing options. After 22 May we will manually double-check all payment statuses so that they are correct. If your tuition fee payment has not been received by 22 May, we will not be able to offer you housing from the first batch.

Double Degree, Joint Programme and 'Study Abroad' students

Students coming to Lund on special agreements, including Double Degrees, Joint Programmes and the 'Study Abroad'-agreement have experienced some issues joining the queue. We are currently working on resolving the problem, and estimate that it should be resolved by Midday (12:00) today (7 May), Swedish time. We will update this page when we know more. UPDATE: This issue is now resolved.

Exchange students

Exchange students should be able to activate their accounts and join the queue as normal. If you do experience any issues, do not hesitate to contact us via e-mail (luacc [at] service [dot] lu [dot] se) directly, and we will assist you as quickly as possible.

Programme/Course students who will not pay tuition fees

Please note that following regulations from the Swedish government, we are legally prohibited from offering housing to any students except those liable to pay tuition fees to Lund University, or those who arrive on a specific agreement (Exchange or otherwise). If you are a regular student, e.g. from Sweden or from within the EU/EEA, we most likely are not allowed to offer you any housing.
