Who is eligible for accommodation?
This page briefly explains who can apply for Guest researcher accommodation through LU Accommodation and outlines the key steps in the housing application process.
Guest researchers
It is common that the procedure of bringing guest researchers to Lund and the way their stay is funded varies from department to department. The host department will need to verify that the guest is indeed in Sweden as a guest researcher.
Please note that if your guest will receive a wage from, or hold a position at, Lund University, they need to fit the criteria that govern postdoctoral researchers as outlined below. If they do not fit these critera, they will not be eligible for accommodation through LU Accommodation.
It is the host department that takes the responsibility to determine whether the researcher can be considered as a guest researcher or not before making a booking request with LU Accommodation. We expect that the specific situation of the researcher has been assessed according to the above.
