LU Accommodation normally has two extension periods every year, usually sometime during April and October.
When can I apply?
LU Accommodation normally has two extension periods every year, usually sometime during April and October. Dependent on what student type you belong to the possibility to extend varies. More information is sent out to LU Accommodation's tenants before the extension period starts.
Who can extend?
Extension for the Spring semester: If you are registered for studies for the Spring semester, you will be offered the opportunity to extend your contract for the Spring semester.
Extension for the summer and the Autumn semester: It depends on whether you are a guaranteed student or not as to whether you will be offered the possibility to extend your contract.
Guaranteed students
Guaranteed students who fulfil the terms and conditions for the housing guarantee will be offered the possibility to extend their contract into the next academic year.

Other students
Students who do not fulfil the terms and conditions of the housing guarantee will not be offered to extend to into the next academic year. That means that you are not allowed to extend from Spring semester into Autumn semester since the influx of new students during autumn semester is very large.
However, they are normally allowed to extend from Autumn semester to the end of Spring semester since there are not as many new students arriving during spring.
