When to apply

Available accommodations are published in our housing portal approximately three months before their available move-in date. Researchers can send in a booking request maximum seven months before their scheduled arrival.

Booking date regulations

Bookings can generally be made no earlier than 3 months before the guest researcher's arrival date.

Bookings are made for full months regardless of the guest researcher's actual arrival and departure date. Contracts will thus start on the first, and end on the last day of the month.

The initial rental period is 2 years. After that, the guest reseracher can request an extention, but will be asked to send a confirmation from their host department confirming their continued position at the university. We will unfortunately not be able to offer accommodation for periods shorter than two months for our long term accommodation.

Shorter stays than two months should be booked with the University Guest House:

Upon arrival, keys can be picked up at the reception during visiting hours. If the contract begins on a weekend or public holiday, the keys will be available for collection on the next working day. For example, if the contract starts on a Sunday, the keys can be picked up on the following Monday.

Arrival

Upon departure, keys should be returned no later than 12:00 (noon) on the last day of the contract.
