Laundry

In many housing areas you will find common washing facilities (Swedish translation: tvättstuga). The laundry room is often situated in the basement or in a separate building in your housing area. The use of laundry facilities is included in your rent and there are no extra costs. In most buildings you will have to buy your own washing detergents.

You have to book a laundry session in advance in order to do your laundry. The length of a session differs between 2 to 6 hours, and the number of sessions may be limited to a certain number per month.

There are two different laundry booking systems depending on which housing area you live in:

Laundry lock system

The laundry lock system is a manual booking system. Laundry is booked by placing your laundry lock in a time slot on the board outside the laundry room.

Watch our instruction video on how to use the laundry lock system:

Electronic tag system

The electronic laundry system is booked with the laundry tag (see picture to the right). The booking system is placed outside the laundry room.
For tenants of AF Bostäder, laundry can be booked via their webpage. Please read below for further information.

If the laundry tag stopped working, please check the following steps:

- Can you see the previous laundry session that you have booked?
- Are you able to book a new laundry appointment?
- Can you login at the booking terminal?
- Is it possible that you have exceeded your 6 laundry sessions per month limit?

If the answer is "no" to all of the above questions, please contact luacc [at] service [dot] lu [dot] se to receive a new tag.

Machines inside the apartment

In many apartments you have your own separate washing machine and dryer. If this is the case you can look up the specific machine by searching on the model. It is important to take care of the machines in your apartment correctly. Make sure to clean the dryer and washer (including filters) to make sure that you get good use out of them.

In some housing areas this is the only key you will receive. Where we have electronical locks this key will let you inside everywhere.
