Collecting your keys

Below you will find information regarding preparing for your arrival, collecting your keys, filling out the inspection report and other responsibilities.

Collecting your keys

When you have signed your contract and paid your first rent, you will be able to collect the keys to your apartment at our office at Tunavägen 20 in Lund the earliest on the first workday of the month when the contract begins.

Find information of how to get to our office in the link below:

Bring an ID card

Make sure to have your passport or a valid ID card with you to collect your keys.

What you will receive

You will receive a folder with the following content:

  • Keys to the room/apartment
  • Key receipt
  • Housing area information
  • Inspection report
  • Name sticker

Outside of visiting hours

If the contract starts during a weekend or a public holiday, the apartment will be available the first working day of the month.

You cannot collect keys outside of visiting hours unless the staff has agreed to such request.

Can someone else collect the keys?

We only allow a employee at Lund University collect the keys for you. They need to be able to show a LU staff member card. If the keys will be picked up by someone else but the tenant, this has to be clearly communicated and agreed to by LU Accommodation. We will need the full name of the person obtaining the contracts and keys, and one signed copy of the contract has to be returned to our office within one week.

Inspection report

Together with the keys you will also receive an inspection report. We ask you to fill it out and return it to our office within one week.

The inspection report is for our documentation, which is important when you move out. Any damage to furniture or the room itself, not reported on the inspection report upon arrival will lead to charges for which you are responsible to pay.
