Closing of first autumn application and the opening of the second application period

Here we outline what is going on now, and what we are doing next with the autumn student applications. If you don’t yet have housing and wish to get an offer from us, you need to join this second application period, that opens next week.

Closing the first application

We have already sent out the last offers of the first application period that started 28 April. Make sure to double-check your housing account if you have received an offer this week. We had approximately 730 housing units in this first application, and we have sent out just over 800 offers. But the current application was started over a month ago, and both the lists of applicants and housing need to be updated. This is why we will close the current application and open the second application period.

New application period

The second application period is scheduled to start next week. We need to sort out the final offers of the current batch early next week and publish the new application period after that. Once we open the second application period we will email everyone in the student queue to say that you need to apply again and for how long the application period is open.

Applying again and queue time

If you haven’t yet received an offer, or if you declined or didn’t answer a previous offer, but are still interested in housing with us, you need to apply again to the second application period.

To apply again, you need to login to your housing account and go to Housing and join the “August 2025 (#2)” application. The preferences will now reflect only what is available in this application, so the options might look a bit different, and be a lot fewer.

It is important to remember that your queue time is set when you join the queue, not when you apply. Much like the first application, even if you apply in the first minute, you will most likely move down in the line if someone with a better queue time or preference group applies after you.
