FAQ Will I get a room?
LU Accommodation allocates rooms in a priority order decided by Lund University. Incoming students are prioritised over students already enrolled at Lund University.
According to this allocation model we offer our rooms to:
-
Students paying a tuition fee to Lund University. You can read about housing guarantee on our housing guarantee page.
-
Exchange students in order of how strategically important the exchange programme is to Lund University and according to the division between the faculties.
-
In addition to the prioritised student groups, accommodation is allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you fail to apply before the stated deadline, you will be put on the waiting list. For more information, please read our application period page.
Due to the complex allocation model, it is difficult to give answers about your placement in the waiting list and the chances of being offered a room.
We can unfortunately not guarantee housing for all of you and, ultimately, it is your own responsibility to find housing. We recommend that you have your accommodation sorted out before your arrival.
