Will I get a room?
LU Accommodation allocates rooms according to a priority order decided by Lund University. New incoming students are prioritised over students already enrolled at Lund University.
Priority order
According to this allocation model we offer our rooms to:
-
Students with a housing guarantee.
-
Programme & Exchange students, in order of established inter-university agreements and how strategically important those agreements are to Lund University.
-
In addition to the housing guarantee and prioritised student groups, accommodation is allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you fail to apply before the stated deadline, you will be put on the waiting list.
On the waiting list
Due to the complex allocation model above, it is not possible to give answers about your chances of being offered a room, or offer students information about their exact place on the waiting list.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee housing for all international students and, ultimately, it is your own responsibility to find housing. We recommend that you have your accommodation situation resolved before your arrival.
