If you are a Swedish student, a Freemover, a PhD student, or a student not belonging to any of the groups mentioned for the different application periods you are unfortunately not prioritised for accommodation through our service during the months of August, September and January.
Swedish Student or Freemover
As a Swedish student or a Freemover you are welcome to contact luacc [at] service [dot] lu [dot] se to find out if we might be able to allocate you for other months of the year. Please note that a housing contract with us will only be issued for a limited time period, for example from February to the end of June the same year.
PhD students, Interns and Postdocs
You are not automatically guaranteed housing through LU Accommodation. In most cases the university categorizes you as researchers, and since many hold a position and/or receive wage through a Swedish University, many PhD students and postdocs are not eligible for accommodation with us. Interns are not eligible since most interns do not study at Lund University (i.e. you are not receiving educational credits here). If you belong to these categories you have to talk to your department about your specific situation. If your department considers you to be a guest researcher (who does not receive wage or hold any position at a Swedish University), they may apply for accommodation for you as a guest researcher.
