Before contacting us

As a host department, and responsible contact person, there are several things you need to know before making a booking.

Who makes the booking request?

Requests are made by the host department. Requests directly from the guest researcher will not be accepted.

Who can stay with us?

Our rooms and apartments can be booked for international guest researchers visiting the University.

A person holding a position at Lund University, is not eligible to receive accommodation. Please find more information about this on the following page:

The host departments responsibilities

The host department is responsible for their guest as well as act as a guarantor. As the host department makes the booking request you agree to the following:

Make a booking request correctly

Please note that we usually only offer one accommodation and contract per guest.

Bookings can be made no earlier than 7 months before the guest researcher's arrival date.

Bookings are made for full months regardless of the guest researcher's actual arrival and departure date. Contracts will thus start on the first, and end on the last day of the month.

The rental period is up to maximum 1 year or 6 months depending on the accommodation. We will unfortunately not be able to offer accommodation for periods shorter than two months for our long term accommodation.

Shorter stays than two months should be booked with the University Guest House:

Additional information

Upon arrival the contract and keys can be picked up from 13:00 CET on the first work day of the month the contract begins (not during weekends or holidays)

Upon departure the keys should be returned to us no later than 12:00 (noon) on the last day of the month the contract expires.

We have a limited amount of rooms and apartments and can unfortunately not guarantee accommodation for all guests. We prioritize guest researchers visiting Lund University for the first time.
