August and September application periods

This article summarizes the current and upcoming application periods for contracts starting both in August and September.

August application periods

The previous application with contract start for 1 August ("August 2025 (#3)") have now been closed. The contracts in that application has been offered and already signed for. This means that if you have not heard anything from us regarding a contract, starting 1 August, you wil not receive one this time.

However, due to our cancellation policy, where people can cancel their contracts up to the day before the start of the contract without any financial penalties, we are expecting to receive a fair amount of housing that we can publish as available. We will have the final list of these earliest on Friday 1 August and will publish them after that. Because we publish them in August, and the process usually takes a week, we have decided to have the start date of these apartments set on 15 August. If you are in the queue, pay attention to your email, so you see when we publish these accommodations.

September application periods

We already have started the "September 2025 (#1)" application, where we will have contracts that start 1 September. If you are interested in that, it is open until 3 August, so login to your housing account and join this application!

We are also, in mid August, planning on publishing more availabilities from 1 september. For this application, these will mostly consist of the odds and ends that are left from previous applications, as well as some late cancellations. We will inform the queue, via email, when we are ready to publish these.

Applying again and queue time

If you haven’t yet received an offer, or if you declined or didn’t answer a previous offer, but are still interested in housing with us, you need to apply again if and when we have an available application period open.

It is important to remember that your queue time is set when you join the queue, not when you apply. Much like the first application, even if you apply in the first minute, you will most likely move down in the line if someone with a better queue time or preference group applies after you.
