Will I get a room?
LU Accommodation allocates rooms in a priority order decided by Lund University. New incoming students are prioritised over students already enrolled at Lund University.
According to this allocation model we offer our rooms to:
Students with a housing guarantee. You can read about the housing guarantee here.
Exchange students in order of how strategically important the exchange programme is to Lund University and according to the division between the faculties.
In addition to the prioritised student groups, accommodation is allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you fail to apply before the stated deadline, you will be put on the waiting list. Read here for information about application periods.
Due to the complex allocation model, it is not possible to give answers about your chances of being offered a room.
We can unfortunately not guarantee housing for all of you and, ultimately, it is your own responsibility to find housing. We recommend that you have your accommodation sorted out before your arrival.
